Ensuring clinical and operational success in a clinical trial requires creation of an effective strategic plan that outlines how you’ll deal with all the typical issues that plague clinical trials. This webinar provides a high-level overview of the most common factors that should be considered in a strategic clinical development plan, many months prior to first patient in. Typical hurdles addressed in this webinar are: human resources, funding and cost containment, timelines for recruitment/enrollment/closeout, regulatory requirements, site recruitment, and selection of technology platform, among others.
Leveraging a technology platform that addresses all aspects of study management is essential. This includes CTMS, EDC, CDMS, and why integration among all three is key. Technology can promote efficiency and reduce costs, and advocates of EDC have been able to clearly demonstrate how an EDC system reduces overall research costs and increases data integrity compared to paper-based data collection methods.

Dr. Neil Warnock is Vice President of Medical Affairs for StudyManager. Dr. Warnock possesses broad experience in medicine from clinician to Medical Liaison, to Medical Director. He has worked in clinical development, health economics and managed care. Dr. Warnock has worked in all phases of clinical research across several therapeutic areas and many different job responsibilities including clinical trial design, physician education, patient retention, and others.
